General Hospital Information

Rusk County Memorial Hospital is located on the Flambeau River at the southern edge of the rural community of Ladysmith, Wisconsin. It is the only hospital within a 45-mile radius.

The hospital houses many facets of medical needs to service a population of approximately 18,000 people. Rusk County Memorial Hospital's Clinic at Riverside is a Provider-Based Rural Health Clinic that provides primary, family care to meet the needs of the communities we serve. In addition to our medical/surgical unit and intensive care unit, we offer comprehensive surgical services, emergency care, urgent care, and transitional care services through the Swing Bed Program.

The ancillary services of digital imaging, laboratory and pharmacy are provided as well as rehabilitative therapies, including cardiac rehabilitation, and physical, occupational and speech therapies. All medical services provided at RCMH are supported by environmental, nutritional and business staff.

Additional services provided through county operations include ambulance services, a certified home health care service, hospice services, social services and various senior services.
