General Hospital Information
Rusk County Memorial Hospital and Nursing Home is located on the Flambeau River at the southern edge of the rural community of Ladysmith, Wisconsin. It is the only hospital within a 45-mile radius.
The hospital houses all facets of medical needs to service a county population of approximately 17,000 people. In addition to our Medical/Surgical Unit, Intensive Care Unit and Birth Center, we offer comprehensive Surgical Services, Emergency Care, Urgent Care, and Extended Care Services through the Swing Bed Program.
The ancillary services of Digital Imaging, Laboratory and Pharmacy are provided as well as Rehabilitative therapies that include Cardiac Rehabilitation, and Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapies. We also provide around the clock skilled nursing care in our Medicare approved Nursing Home. All medical services provided at RCMH are supported by environmental, nutritional and business staff.
Additional services provided through county operations include ambulance services, a Certified Home Health Care service, Hospice Services, Social Services and various senior services.
