Cardiac Rehabilitation
Cardiac Rehabilitation (Rehab) is an outpatient education and exercise program. The goals of the program are to improve your quality of life, increase your ability to perform daily tasks, and reduce your risk of future cardiac events. The program is open, by physician referral, to people who have had any of the following:
- Heart Attack (MI)
- Angina
- Angioplasty with or without stent placement
- Coronary artery by pass surgery (CABG)
- Valve Replacement
Sessions last about one hour and are held Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Our Monitored Exercise Program (MEP) is an exercise opportunity for anyone who has completed a cardiac rehab program or has risk factors for heart disease.
Risk factors include:
- Hypertension (High Blood Pressure)
- Elevated Cholesterol Levels
- Family History of Heart Disease
- Overweight
- Sedentary Life Style
- Diabetes
MEP is available Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the Cardiac Rehab department from 8:00 am - 10:00 am and 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm.
